Bachmann compares Tea Partiers to Doomed British Cavalry

“It’s the charge of the light brigade,” Michele Bachmann cried at a recent Tea Party gathering in DC. Unfortunately for her metaphor, the charge of the Light Brigade is famous for being a dismal failure.

If all right-wingers are this ignorant of history (see: the Hoot Smalley Act, weird suggestion about her daugter as a wife of Henry VIII, and that’s just what we’ve put up so far), it could explain why they think it’s a good idea to roll back workplace regulations to the Industrial Revolution era.
